Hi Mikal !
I just wanted to tell you that yesterday I finished my box following your guidelines and I was using it to give some 'tricky' Christmas presents.
Thank you very much for sharing your idea. I have head lots of fun and I have learned a lot about Arduino and this interesting technology.
And as I read somewhere thanks also for NOT share all the details of the project, it is much more interesting and funny to it work after doing some research and development.
Thanks again !!

Mikal, I am blown away by this! Like Carlos, I have also gone and purchased all of the components to make my own for some loved ones. And like Carlos, I am also interested in the code and schema is available. Are you planning on "open sourcing" the box?
In any case, thank you for the inspiration and for the information and libraries that you have provided already! -thrashor

Hi Mikal ! Congratulations for this amazing project !
I am willing to make one for myself. I have already all the hardware and libraries.
However it would be very helpful to have the code and schema, is there any chance that I can get it ?
Thanks a lot, Carlos

Friends,

Thanks for the amazing deluge of wonderful feedback -- phone calls, comments here on arduiniana.org, tweets, emails, Facebook, etc. -- about the "Reverse Geocache" box. There have been lots of very good questions asked, which I have been slow to respond to because of all the hubbub, but please be assured that I intend to answer every last one.

I admire the ingenuity: human, personal, intellectual, and mechanical. I admire those who wish to make such a box themselves, which I shall never do. I would very seriously like to commission several of these boxes for my use as gifts. Mikal Hart, I would prefer to buy them from you. If you are not inclined to make these (it may be tedious, for all I know) may I solicit such construction from others, for a price? It's one thing to make such a box oneself. It is another to solicit their manufacture, and I don't want to intrude on your property. Thanks.

Absolutely fascinating! Is there any chance you will be willing to make the schematic and code available so we can make one for ourselves?
Thanks, Jim
